A spiral bracelet with a decorated, sun-shaped ornament, with a set semi-precious stone in the center. The size of the bracelet can be adjusted to fit your arm. A beautiful and timeless design in which we drew inspiration from the visual language of the Viking-era Byzantine Empire.
All of our brass bracelets are nickel- and cadmium-free. They are handmade by skilled craftsmen, and this model features a mounted semi-precious stone. Since the stones are genuine, they also vary slightly in appearance - some with more shine, others with more detail. Brass is a soft metal, which makes it easy to fit the bracelet onto any wrist.
Brass was a typical material in the Viking Age - it held the same value as bronze because the two looked very much alike. The Vikings were no masters of chemistry, so they made bronze jewelry in some regions and brass jewelry in others. Many pieces of jewelry made from or mounted with a semi-precious stone have been found in Viking graves. They were brought to Scandinavia from the distant east after merchants returned home from their long journeys.
